Sometimes the challenge is where, not what!

Sometimes the challenge is where, not just what the cargo is!

Needless to say, shipping heavy cargo is complicated, costly, and potentially dangerous. It often includes transferring parts weighing over 100 tons from vessels to ports to trains and everything in between. This can be a logistic challenge and requires meticulous planning and oversight.

But sometimes the challenge is not just what is being shipped, but where it is being shipped. There are different safety standards, levels of professionalism, and logistical compliance depending on where the cargo is going.

Navigating the ports of Algeria

Recently a client needed to ensure the safety and efficiency of transport for turbines and generators into three different ports: Djen Djen, Mostaganem, and Skikda.

Transporting turbines and generators is already challenging because they are easy to damage and costly to replace. Without the proper equipment and training, it is easy to make mistakes and throw a project off track.

Due to the complexity of working in the government-controlled ports in Africa, our client needed a survey company with experience and expertise in operating safely in this area. The surveyors needed to be extra cautious in their oversight of the transport.

The client hired Nordic Maritime Solutions because of our commitment to safety and efficiency, our experience in the region, and our comprehensive services overseeing projects from start to finish.

On time and without incident

Despite the unique challenges related to the Algerian Ports, we were able to help our client deliver the turbines and generators on time, under budget, and without incident.

We work with companies all over the world to ship cargo in a safe and efficient manner by applying our Road to Success.
